Philip Pullman CBE is president of the SoA, author of the trilogy His Dark Materials and has served as President of the SoA since 2013. In 1995 he was awarded the Carnegie Medal for his trilogy and has also won the Guardian Prize and the Astrid Lindgren Award. In 2004 he was awarded a CBE.
