Developing and pitching content for children’s film and TV
26 May @ 15:00 - 15:45 BST
Glean insights into how (and what) content to develop and pitch for children’s film and television from animation industry veteran Curtis Jobling. Be it the adaptation of an existing work, published or otherwise, or finding a home for an entirely new concept, Curtis has experienced first-hand the challenges faced by authors, artists and animators in the world of broadcasting with more than 25 years in the animation industry.
With amusing anecdotes, advice on how to develop a pitch document, and an exclusive look at some of Curtis’s early pitch documents – which saw his shows green-lit by the BBC – this is a great opportunity to learn what to do, what not to do, and how to do it.
The session will end with a Q&A. If you would like to send questions in advance, email Sophia Jackson with ‘Developing and pitching content for children’s film and TV – Question’ in the subject header.
