Edinburgh Group meet-up

Join the Edinburgh Group on Wednesday 7 June from 7pm for the first of our monthly meet-ups at Argonaut Books in Leith.

This friendly, informal get-together will be an opportunity to meet other local members, chat about your current projects and get an update on the latest Edinburgh Group plans and SoA in Scotland campaigns.

We will also be asking the question: what did you most want to know when you were first published and/or got a deal to publish? Local author, Lynsey May will join us to talk about her experiences following the recent launch of her debut novel Weak Teeth published by Polygon (an imprint of Birlinn). Come along and share your thoughts.

Argonaut Books is Edinburgh’s latest independent bookshop at 15-17 Leith Walk, EH6 8LN. It is fully accessible, covid friendly and on good public transport routes. Owner Adam Barclay is building a warm, connected author community around the shop and is offering us the space for free as part of that. There will be refreshments, including wine, beer, teas and coffees. Also lots of fantastic stock to browse and buy using your SoA 10% discount.
