Feel Good Friday – Draw-along with Korky Paul

The energetic, interactive illustrator Korky Paul welcomes you to the Wonderful World of Winnie, Wilbur and Winnikins.
Korky manages to bring home the point that writing, reading, and drawing are things that are inherently meant to be fun and magical. In this fast-paced, fun-filled online workshop, Korky demonstrates how drawing is colourful, witty, and animated.
What you will need to participate in this workshop
You will need the following:
- Pen/Pencil
- Paper/Card
Programme
- 2 mins – Intro and housekeeping from Lilly Brend-Fish, Events & Outreach Assistant (SoA)
- 35 mins – Drawing a Winnikin or Winnie & Wilbur with Korky Paul
- 10 mins – Q&A hosted by Lilly Brend-Fish / review of illustrations
- 2 mins – Closing comments

The line-up
Korky Paul – Children’s illustrator
Korky Paul began his career in advertising before becoming an illustrator of children’s books, with studying Fine Arts at Durban Art School, South Africa and Film Animation at CalArts, California.
He is best known for illustrating the multi-million selling series, Winnie the Witch, published in over 44 languages with sales of 10 million.
Known only to himself as the ‘World’s Greatest Portrait Artist – and Dinosaur Drawer’, korky regularly visits schools promoting his passion for drawing and is one of the 20% hardcore elite still scribbling with Pen ‘n Ink on Paper.
Winner of Supporter of the Year for Summertown Stars Football Club. He is a patron of Pegasus Theatre, ARCh, Reading Quest and The Stratford Literary Festival.
