Feel Good Fridays – Relaxation Visualisation with Paola Bagnall

26 March @ 12:00 - 12:45 GMT

Virtual Event

Relax into a guided visualisation with SoA member and hypnotherapist Paola Bagnall.

Find out how to channel your ‘happy hormones’ through breathing and meditation and learn how to promote healing within your unconscious mind through calming practices. This 45-minute session will guide you through an ‘Ego Strengthening Routine’ all from the comfort of your own home.

Participants can be sitting or lying down for this session. Paola suggests wearing headphones to get the best sound quality and also to have a blanket to hand in case you feel cold during the guided visualisation.

  • 2 mins – Welcome from Anna Ganley, SoA’s Head of Staff
  • 10 mins – Intro from Paola Bagnall
  • 20 mins – Relaxation visualisation
  • 10 mins – Q&A with audience

Paola Bagnall – Hypnotherapist

Paola Bagnall has worked as a professional hypnotherapist since 2000. Paola first became interested in hypnotherapy when she learnt self-hypnosis to control the pain from a shoulder injury. She learnt the importance of visualisation and metaphors and the ‘inner power’ we all have to make changes in our lives to control pain and to heal the body.

During her career, Paola has helped hundreds of women have an empowering, natural birth using self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques. Following the success of this method, Paola wrote Birth Made Easy about her Inner Power Hypnobirthing method, which comes complete with a Hypnobirthing CD or MP3 download (for Kindle). You can buy copies of Paola’s book and her hypnobirthing app, also called ‘Birth Made Easy’, via her website below.

Financial support for authors in need through the health crisis and beyond

Since March 2020, the Authors’ Contingency Fund has distributed over £1 million in small grants to authors facing financial hardship due to COVID-19.

With at least 57% of authors facing financial losses during the pandemic, we have helped people struggling financially due to contractual, employment and event cancellations, others who have lost income due to illness, and others prevented from working because of caring responsibilities.

As the health crisis continues, applications for grants continue to come in, and our emergency funds are running low.

So, if you are in a position to help, please donate via the link below. If you are an author facing financial hardship, please click here to see if we can help.
