Glasgow & Surrey Groups: ALCS and secondary licensing
21 April @ 12:00 - 13:00 BST
Join our Glasgow and Surrey groups on Thursday 21 April from 12pm for a joint local group meet-up. Hear from from the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS) on secondary licensing and author incomes.
Pallavi Vadhia and Louisa Stark from ALCS will give a short overview of:
- Who ALCS are and what they do – the collection of secondary royalties for authors
- Sources of income – where the money comes from
- What ALCS pay for – books and how to claim for articles/visual contributions
- How to join and the benefits of membership
Please email group organisers Tita Berredo (Glasgow) & Justine John (Surrey) with any questions you would like to be included in discussion, though there will be plenty of time to ask questions during the session. After the talk from ALCS, we’ll also have an informal chat for you to widen your professional network and making personal connections across the regions.
Local group meet-ups are free to attend. To join us, click the Going button below and enter your details in the RSVP form. We’ll send you an email with a link to join us on Zoom.
If the confirmation email doesn’t arrive in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder! Please email us with any queries.
