Hear from author Melanie Golding on her bestselling debut novel Little Darlings, her experience of creative writing courses, managing a meteoric rise and writing a novel that is defined as both a “fairytale” and a “police procedural”.

Little Darlings, was published by HQ in the UK in May 2019, and by HarperCollins Canada and Crooked Lane Books US. Little Darlings has been optioned for screen by Free Range Films, the team behind the adaptation of My Cousin Rachel. She is studying for a PhD in Creative Writing and working on her next novel.

Melanie Golding took the MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University in 2015-2016, graduating with distinction. Melanie has worked as a teacher in prisons, young offender’s units and residential schools for children with special educational needs. She trained as a musician, and is currently an Associate Artist creating music and stories for Cotswold-based early years arts collective Play Circle.

After Melanie’s talk, there will be chance to chat with fellow authors in your area.
