Monmouth Group: The Facts about Facts (and how to make a living from them)
7 May @ 15:00 - 16:00 BST
Our network of local groups are currently hosting online meet-ups to connect members during Covid-19 restrictions. We will hold this talk in person if restrictions are lifted.
This month the Monmouth Group invite you to a talk The Facts about Facts (and how to make a living at them) by Andy Seed.
It’s harder than ever to make a living as a full-time writer but it is just about possible if you know your onions and are prepared to do events and engage in that mysterious business called networking. Andy Seed will share how his writing career has evolved and how previous non-fiction work led him to land a very interesting commission to write a children’s history of the Forest of Dean. With Q&A.
Andy Seed is the author of over 20 factual books for children and adults including titles for the RSPB, National Trust and British Museum. He’s an active campaigner to promote Reading for Pleasure and a performer at festivals such as Hay, Edinburgh and Bath Children’s. www.andyseed.com
Please RSVP below and check your junks folder if you do not receive acknowledgment with a Zoom link.
Advance questions can be sent to Margaret Iggulden.
Members registered to Monmouthshire postcodes will automatically be sent details of upcoming meetings, but do email the office if you would like to be subscribed to the group or would like to form your own local chapter. You are welcome to send an invitation to any non-member guest considering joining the Society.
By registering for this event you agree that your contact details are sent to the local organiser.
