Join the Monmouth Group on Friday 4 February from 2pm and hear from Cath Barton on how writers of fiction make places come alive for readers.
How do we travel in a post-pandemic and global warming age? Through books!
Cath Barton will discuss how writers of fiction make places come alive for readers, with examples from Graham Greene, Karla Suárez, Juan Emar and others, as well as her own work. Cath is the author of The Plankton Collector (New Welsh Review, 2018) and In the Sweep of the Bay (Louise Walters Books, 2020). She is currently working on a novel set in the circus. She lives in Abergavenny.
