24 May @ 18:00 - 19:00 BST

Free

Join the Somerset Group on Tuesday 24 May from 6pm for an informal discussion with fellow authors. This month we will hear from group member Catherine Hanley who will speak about developing different voices for different audiences, based on the four pseudonyms she’s managed to collect over the years.

Catherine Hanley is a medieval historian and author who writes both fiction and non-fiction. Her PhD focused on warfare during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, but in recent years she’s been broadening her scope. Her two most recent non-fiction books have both been biographies: one of Louis VIII of France (who was almost Louis I of England), and the other of Empress Matilda. Her next book is the epic Two Houses, Two Kingdoms: A History of France and England, 1100-1300, out in July 2022.

All members welcome!
