Tufnell Park Writers: Editing your work

2 March @ 18:30 - 21:00 GMT

Free

Join Tufnell Park Writers on Wednesday 2 March from 6.30pm and hear from developmental editor Siobhán O’Brien Holmes. Come along and pick up some tips for editing your work.

Siobhán O’Brien Holmes is a freelance developmental editor who spends her life reading children’s books. Siobhán works directly with authors of middle grade and YA genre fiction, specialising in horror, mystery, fantasy and science fiction (or anything with a dash of magic or macabre). She has an MA in Novel Writing and an MA in Children’s Literature and is a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders. She was a juror on the 2020 British Fantasy Awards horror panel and on the 2021 IPNE Book Awards YA panel and reviews YA for the British Fantasy Society. She recently completed the Golden Egg Academy’s 12-month selective ‘Writing for Children and Young Adults’ programme where she wrote her own middle grade novel about an amateur astronomer and her ghost-hunting parents. She lives in Morden with her graphic designer husband, Bengal cat and four-year-old son who wants to be a Pokemon when he grows up.

We’ll meet at The Lord Palmerston pub, 33 Dartmouth Park Hill, Tufnell Park, London, NW5 1HU.
