Warwickshire Group: Cut That Prose
17 September @ 19:15 - 20:15 BST
Join the Warwickshire Group on Friday 17 September from 7.15pm for a session on editing your work. In this practical session, Fran Hill will demonstrate simple techniques to help you cut the superfluous, not the substance, from fiction or non-fiction prose.
Through fun activities, you’ll de-flab sentences and discipline unnecessary words and phrases. Implement Fran’s techniques and your work will be cleaner and clearer with more room for great content.
Fran is an experienced English teacher and freelance writer of (ruthlessly scissored) fiction, non-fiction and poetry. She lives in Leamington and is the author of Being Miss and Miss, What Does Incomprehensible Mean? The latter is a funny teacher-memoir, published by SPCK Publishing in May 2020. She is about to submit her third book to agents and publishers.
