Warwickshire Group: Making the change from children’s to adult fiction
10 January @ 14:30 - 15:30 GMT
Join the Warwickshire Group on Tuesday 10 January from 2.30pm for their next online meet-up. This month we will be kicking off the new year with a joint event with Leamington Literary Society. Celia Rees will be in conversation with Trevor Humphreys, talking about her writing career and the changes that she has seen in the publishing world. She will also be discussing what prompted her to make the move from writing for Children and Young Adults to Adult Fiction.
Celia Rees has written over twenty novels and has become a leading writer for Young Adults with an international reputation. Her first novel for Adults, Miss Graham’s War (aka Miss Graham’s Cold War Cookbook), was published in 2020 by HarperCollins. Celia lives in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and is co-organizer of the Society of Authors’ Warwickshire Group. She has served as Chair of the Society of Authors Children’s Writers’ and Illustrators’ Group and has also served on the Society of Authors’ Management Committee.
