World of Books Impact Award

The World of Books Impact Award is a new grant to support writers working on books of any genre that have the power to inspire progressive behaviour change.

It is granted twice a year and offers authors a sum of £5,000 to support them as they complete their work.

The award criteria is linked to World of Books own guiding values and are aligned with the UN sustainability goals of Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action and Quality Education.

Applications for the World of Books Impact Award are considered as part of the Authors’ Foundation grants process. There is no separate application process.

About World of Books and the Impact Award

The World of Books Impact Award offers two annual grants of £5,000 to works of any genre that:

  1. educate, inspire, motivate, liberate or incite progressive behaviour change
  2. align to our values: responsibility, action, pioneering
  3. support any of these SDGs: Responsible Consumption and Production [SDG12], Quality Education [SDG4] and Climate Action [SDG13]
